AI Job Interview Privacy Policy

Overview

AI Job Interview is a macOS app that helps users during live interviews with transcript, structured AI answers, and screenshot solving. This policy explains what data is processed and when it leaves your device.

Microphone and speech recognition

• The app requests microphone and speech recognition access to transcribe interview audio.
• Audio is used for live transcription and interview assistance inside the app flow. Speech recognition services may process audio according to your macOS settings and Apple's terms.
• You can revoke these permissions at any time in macOS System Settings.

Screen capture

• The app requests Screen Recording access to capture screenshots when you explicitly trigger screenshot solve.
• Text is recognized from the screenshot on your Mac. The recognized text, not the screenshot image, is included in the AI prompt.
• Selected-region screenshot files are created temporarily and deleted after text recognition. Full-screen captures are processed in memory.

AI providers

• AI prompts may contain recognized transcript or screenshot text and the context needed to draft an answer.
• When you use BYOK or Custom AI, requests are sent to the provider and endpoint you configured.
• When you use Hosted Gemini, prompt text is routed through the app's hosted backend to Google Gemini and may consume credits from your account.
• The hosted backend does not write prompt text or generated answers to its Firestore database. AI providers process request content under their own terms and retention practices.
• Your personal API keys are stored in macOS Keychain.

Account and billing

• Google or Apple sign-in may be used to sync hosted access, subscriptions, and credit balances.
• The hosted backend retains account identifiers, subscription status, StoreKit transaction bindings, credit balances, and aggregate usage records while your hosted account is active.
• Payments are handled by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store.
• You can request account deletion from inside the app. This removes hosted subscription, credit, transaction-binding, and aggregate usage records associated with the account, then deletes the Firebase Authentication account.

Website measurement

• This website does not load third-party advertising or analytics scripts and does not set tracking cookies.
• When you select an App Store button, the website stores a small event in your browser's local storage with the page path, button location, destination type, and timestamp.
• These events remain on your device and are not currently transmitted to our servers. You can remove them by clearing site data in your browser.

App configuration and required updates

• The macOS app uses Firebase Remote Config to retrieve minimum-version and App Store update information.
• Firebase Installations may process an app-installation identifier and related technical metadata to deliver and cache this configuration.
• The app uses a 12-hour production fetch interval, does not enable a realtime Remote Config listener, and falls back to safe bundled defaults if configuration cannot be fetched.

Data minimization and retention

Interview prompts and answers are not retained in the app backend database. Account and billing records are kept only for hosted access, credit accounting, purchase restoration, security, and support, and are removed through the in-app account deletion flow subject to records Apple or an AI provider retains under its own obligations.
